From the recording Star That Fell-Musical Journey

“Star That Fell” is a romantic ballade that was inspired by an evening meteor shower at Makapu'u beach. The original demo for "Star That Fell" began in the summer of 2004 and was revised several times over the years until it reached its final version for the “Musical Journey” CD.

Star That Fell
Music and Lyrics by Wayne Takamine (ASCAP)

Remember the Star That Fell and sparkled through the sky…
Told me to keep you warm and hold you through the night…
Though a million stars will fall across the sky, brightest one is in your eyes…

A million stars will fall across the sky…
You’re the one I’ll hold on through the night…
Though a million stars will fall across the sky, brightest one is in your eyes…

All of the million hearts that fell in love that night…
Only this heart of mine can tell you that it’s right…
Though I never said my wish upon that star, you know it’s right in your heart…

A million hears will fall in love tonight…
Only one can tell you that it’s right…
Though I never said my wish upon that star, you know it’s right in your heart…

If I could I’d fly across the sky…
Catch the stars and make them shine…
For every heart that beats I’ll try to find the one…
Keeps me warm throughout the night, throughout the night…

All of the million dreams that fade into the night…
You are the only dream with arms that holds me tight…
Though a million dreams will fade throughout my life…
And a million hearts sill fall in love tonight…
And a million stars will fall across the sky…
You’re the one that lights my life…

Light of my life, light of my life…
Light of my life, light of my life…
Light of my life, light of my life…
Light of my Life…
