In The Country (Remix 2012)  is a classic cover song recorded by Three Dog Night. This arrangement features a duet with vocalist Tiffany Catalfano. The theme for "Out in the Country" speaks of the beauty of the "Aina" (land) and how precious it is to "malama" (protect) our natural landscapes.
A previously mixed version of "Out in the Country" was released on the "Touch" CD that won a 1998 Hawaii Music Award in the Island Music category.

Lyrics

Out In The Country
Music & Lyrics by Paul H. Williams, Jr.
Whenever I need to leave it all behindOr feel the need to get awayI find a quiet place, far from the human raceOut in the countryBefore the breathing air is goneBefore the sun is just a bright spot in the nighttimeOut where the rivers like to runI stand alone and take back something worth rememberingWhenever I feel them closing in on meOr need a bit of room to moveWhen life becomes too fast, I find relief at lastOut in the countryBefore the breathing air is goneBefore the sun is just a bright spot in the nighttimeOut where the rivers like to runI stand alone and take back something worth rememberingBefore the breathing air is goneBefore the sun is just a bright spot in the nighttimeOut where the rivers like to runI stand alone and take back something worth rememberingBefore the breathing air is goneBefore the sun is just a bright spot in the nighttimeOut where the rivers like to runI stand alone and take back something worth rememberingBefore the breathing air is goneBefore the sun is just a bright spot in the nighttime...I stand alone...
